What is your current booking policy?

Only members from your same household can stay in the cabin. Anyone traveling from outside of California must quarantine for 14 days, so we are not taking out of state bookings during this time. We also ask that you do not book if any guest has been on an airplane within 14 days of the reservation. 

What time is your check-in and check-out?

Check-in is at 4PM and check-out is at 10AM. 

Do you offer early check-in and late check-out?

The fee is $10 per hour, and the earliest check-in time is 2PM and the latest check out time is 12PM. You must reserve ahead of time, and it is subject to availability. 

How far are you from the Village?

We are 5 minutes walking distance from the Village.

How far are you from the Lake?

We are 10 minutes walking distance from the Lake. 

How far are you from the ski resorts?

We are 2.5 miles away from Snow Summit and 4 miles away from Bear Mountain.

How far are you from the grocery stores?

We are 2.5 miles away from Stater Brothers and Vons.

Are all your cabins pet friendly?

Yes, we accept pets in all our cabins for $10/pet/night.

Was this business previously named Pine Knot Guest Ranch?

Yes, the business has been under new ownership since August 2020. 

Will we need snow chains?

During the winter season, it is always required that you carry snow chains.

Can we feed the llamas?

Yes, we offer snacks from the office to feed the llamas, and they are also fans of carrots and apples.

What kind of wild animals do we need to worry about while traveling to Big Bear?

We have bears and coyotes in our area. Please do not leave trash outside and always keep your pets on leashes. 

Do you have Wifi?

Yes, we have free WiFi in all of our cabins.

Do you provide firewood?

You will be given a bundle of wood inside of your cabin, and additional bundles are $6 each.

Do I need to pay upfront when I book the room?

You will need to put the first night down as a deposit, and the rest will be charged on the day of your check-in.

What is your cancellation policy?

There is a $50 charge to cancel your reservation. Cancellations within 72 hours forfeits the deposit amount. No shows or cancellations within 24hrs of your arrival date, you forfeit the full reservation amount. There are no refunds for early departures or late arrivals.

Holiday reservations are NON-REFUNDABLE 2 weeks prior to arrival.


Do you provide dishes?

During the COVID-19 pandemic, out of an abundance of caution, we are taking extra steps for your safety. For the time being, we ask that you bring any plates, bowls, or silverware that you may need with you. We have removed them from the cabins. There are plastic and foam cups and plasticware inside of the kitchenette. Paper plates and bowls are available by request. THIS EXCLUDES OUR VACATION HOMES CEDAR CREEK AND LITTLE BEAR.

Are your cabins non-smoking?

All cabins are non-smoking. But you are welcome to smoke outside on your porch or deck.
